the party...
the first birthday party you ever throw you child is an experience. it was a great experience with a touch of stress on top, but a good time had by all. the food was awesome. the house was packed (seriously...the house we live in is too small). the birthday boy was an angel. what more could i ask for?
tucker had a great time. he wasn't sure at first what to do with his birthday cupcake and once he ate a bit of it, it was tossed to the floor. funny. then came the presents. he opened the first present (a cement truck) and cried when we took it away to take it out of the box. he did not even care that there was a stack of other gifts to open behind him. that was typical through the opening process...liked them all so much he just wanted to play with each one. it was cute. he had a really fun time...making all his goofy happy faces and screaming with joy (the latest and greatest skill of his). once people started leaving, he had a good time for a while and then started to get very tired. gram put him to sleep while me and matt got to sneak out with jenn, house and tina to the muni to um...relax. his birthday album contain a few pictures...okay, quite a few...and there are even some from me and him this morning. enjoy!
his one year checkup) tucker weighed in at 21.3 pounds. he was 28.5 inches long. he is doing very good...his growth spiked for a bit, but has leveled off now. he is still below 'average' but right on track. he got his shots and then slept for the next three hours. he had a great time in the waiting room before his appointment though. i think he had eyes for one of the other little girls there. it was quite funny to watch.
there is always more on my mind, but that went out the window last night so you'll have to wait until the brain juice starts flowing again.
