15 months.
the little dude had his 15 month check up on friday. here were the results:
he weighs in at 22.10 pounds. (25th percentile)
he is 30.25 inches tall. (25th percentile)
we have to encourage more language development.
he is doing just fine otherwise.
oh, and he got a shot too. the monkey band aid made it better though!
dr. maria told us how we could encourage him to say more words. he does a lot of pointing and 'garble' talk. she suggested to us instead of asking where something is, ask what it is...things like that. she also had a game that we could play with him that sounded helpful. i am bummed that he doesn't say more words yet, but i have to remind myself he was a preemie and that could have something to do with it. he is so smart and not behind in other development, so i'm thinking it isn't a huge deal yet, but i don't want it to turn into one. matt tells me not to worry or make a big deal out of it...he says some words and is always learning. i wish i could look at things that way.
i'll keep you posted on the issue. if there are any mom's out there reading this...could you lend me a little advice on the topic? i need it.

today when i was watching him i repeated "book" many times over and over and he said "book" in his own way and also today he said, wow, tucker, gramma, oh,oh, dad, momma, nana (for banana) so it's coming. he listens well so it's just a matter of time. we had a great day together!!

He will probably start jabbering real fast. Kolby was quiet for a while, he knew the words but just wouldn't say them. He started hanging out with a bunch of little girls that talked all the time and all of a sudden he won't stop talking. He repeats EVERYTHING. His favorite repeat lately is damn it. So remember, even if he is not talking, he is listening.
