i almost forgot to share these pictures from this weekend. tucker and i went down to the silver bay fire department's pancake feed on saturday morning. that is one great breakfast...delish! anyways, tucker got to check out the firetrucks. grandpa rick took a break from his duties to show him a few things. here are a few of my favorites (my camera settings were off so there is some glare...dang it).

my baby is 16 months old today. not much of a baby, more like hell on wheels these days. i have to say, the kid cracks me up...except for when he wakes up at 530 in the morning after mom and dad have been out having a good time the night before. yeah. not fun.
we had a great time at david and ashley's wedding. i got some pictures, but actually decided that i wanted to have a good time and not be worrying about my camera or what pictures i wanted to get. i decided to enjoy our night out celebrating with the bride and groom! it was a beautiful ceremony and a nice reception. my feet hurt from dancing at the end of the night! i'll share some pictures soon.
so, this morning tucker decides he wants to wake me up at 530. i wasn't pumped about that. i wasn't hungover, but what i have been telling myself is allergies is actually a cold. lucky me. so, i managed to get him to snuggle with me until 700, when i got up, fed him breakfast and then he decided he wanted to doze off for an hour when i was now ready to be up for the day. egh.
we were super lazy today. matt was um...not feeling well in the morning, but it is so fricken hot that even moving your finger to click the remote makes you break a bead. we went outside to check out the little bird nest we have in our liloc trees...we've heard them chirping for a few days and sure enough...they're back there. i'm pumped. i love the birds. otherwise, the day was spent lounging around the house. it is nearly 1100 and i just made double chocolate muffins and homemade baby wipes. man, i feel like i am morphing into holly homemaker. riiiiggght.

last night tucker and i went down to the re-union hall to help decorate for ashley and david's reception. we got there and it was pretty much taken care of. there are a few things left they were doing today. we just hung out for a while. tucker no longer likes to cooperate when we take pictures, so don't mind if he isn't looking. he loves ashley and david!

tonight we are going to help with the finishing touches. tomorrow is ashley and david's big day! it should be a great time and it's another chance for me to practice my skills...or lack there of...in photography. sweet.

finally, i get to post about last weekend. tucker is sleeping (a miracle) and matt is in bed as well. i have peace and quiet (unless you count listening to the window fan we have had on...steady).
this weekend we had a lot of fun. friday, tucker and i helped jenn set up for her sister's bridal shower. i blew up what seemed like a million balloons. i was glad i got to help her though, as i was unable to go to the bachlorette party on saturday. her sister watches the little dude and i love her to death (as does tucker). anyways, we got home, i gave the little gomper a bath, and we played then lights out.
saturday matt and his brother's were playing in the finland wooden bat tourney. tucker and i got ready and headed out to watch his game at 900. we met my sister-in-law and her three kiddos...and jamie (my mil) at jamie's house and then went to the game. matt's parents live in finland so we went back and forth from the house to eat and nap and whatnot. tucker had a great time. he got to play with some other little ones...and meet some more friends of ours at the game. the only down side...the heat was terrible. i can take it, if i am stationary, but chasing a kid around...that's for the birds! after they were done playing for the day, we bbq'd at matt's parents. the guys all napped, while we all took the kids outside to play. we walked around in the field picking flowers, then we had a fire and the kids played in the dirt and caught grasshoppers. the grasshoppers were a huge hit. i really love the pictures i got of the kids on saturday. we then went inside, gave all the kids a bath and eventually hit the sack. we stayed in finland, which i had not planned on so...
on sunday morning, i got up at the ass crack of dawn and went back into town to shower and get ready. i was back out in finland by 800. tucker was waking up when i got back out there. that's when i noticed...the rash. my sister-in-law is a nurse so i felt a little better when she was telling me it would be fine. i was a little more worried only because one) it was the first rash he has ever had and two) natalie had the same symptoms at the same age after the same type of activity and that led to her disease. anyways, we went to matt's first game and after that, matt was worried about tucker, as was i, and i decided to go back home and call the doctor. so i did. he made me feel better. i gave tucker some benadryl and felt better about the situation. until monday. oh, and sunday, tucker and i went to ashley's bridal shower. it was really fun...jenn, you did a great job putting it together!
monday the rash got worse and that's when i took him to the doctor, as you read previously. so, there you have it. if you are still reading this, there should be some type of award, because honestly, it's pretty boring. sorry. pictures in the next post. :)
real quick this morning i have to share another picture from the weekend with you. i still have lots of pictures to post in an album later, but i love this one. the grasshopper isn't in focus that well, but who cares. she carried these little guys around with her for two days. i just love kids.

last night tucker was restless (which is actually pretty normal) but he kept me up wondering what was wrong and why he had the rash. so, this morning i called into work and took tucker to the doctor for peace of mind. i was partial relieved because the doc said that it appeared to be hives. there are a few different types and it seems this type can tag along with a cold or strep (his test was negative) or from something he got into. it didn't appear to be from food. he doesn't have a fever and is acting fine so i'm just giving him benadryl. the doc said the hives will move around (which they have) and should be gone in a couple of days. let's hope so! poor guy, i just feel so bad looking at him. thanks mom for coming with us today! thanks dad and keri for your help this evening! and thanks to nana and papa for bringing in the pool tonight so tucker could go swimming (pictures soon of that!) gosh, i think tucker will start drawing red dots on himself in the future when he wants to be spoiled...he sure has been today! oh well, that's all right. here's a shot from this afternoon during his benadryl induced nap...

i have so much to share from this weekend...including some photographs. one of my favorites is this one from saturday night. the kids and nana were having a great time catching grasshoppers. i can't say that the grasshoppers were having that much fun, but it was fun for the kids.
so anyways, this morning i noticed tucker had a rash. we went to the guy's first game this morning and i decided that i'd bring him back into town and call the doctor after they finished playing. some people might think it is just a rash, he'll be fine, but they don't realize that that is how my sister got sick when she was his age. in case you are not familiar with my sister's sitch, read more here. for her, it all started out with a rash, she didn't want to walk, let alone move, it was horrible. they brought her to the emergency room like ten times before they started narrowing down what they were dealing with. that was a scary time and when i seen it, that was the only thing i could think about. kind of an over reaction, but oh well. anyways, i feel better now that i called the doc and now we'll just see what happens. poor guy...

the silver bay community action team will be having another event during the 'silver - beaver days' on july 28, 2007. the save a life tour is coming to silver bay! in our community we have had a handful of young people die over the past couple years, so this event fits perfectly. please see the event flyer here. if you are in the area, check it out!
