reality check.

this is going to be hard to say: i watch the bachelor. 

okay.  maybe it wasn't so hard.  i know you watch too - admit it!  :)

monday night, the new season began with a familiar bachelor, jason.  he was the single dad on the last season that got his heart chewed up, spit out and ran over by the last bachelorette, deanna.  anyways, i'm always up for a little love connection gone wrong, so i watch. 

i can already tell this season is going to be DRAMA.  gotta love that.  i figured i would just touch on a few of the highlights from the first episode.

1. myspace stalker girl (aka shannon).  she admits to him that she has been checking out his myspace.  she told him she wasn't a stalker twice i think.  she knew his birthday, his brother's name and the name of his brother's girlfriend (also a shannon) and that he like brunettes.  okay.  he LOOKED creeped out by this, but later told what's-his-face that he thought it was cool or something.  i think she escaped the mental hospital to get on the show.  how about you?
2. the girl who QUIT HER FREAKING JOB is a little too weird for me.  i didn't see a connection and i think he kept her around for one more round because dude, she QUIT HER JOB to meet him.  did she get the memo the economy is going down the shitter and she should work while she still has a job?  i doubt it. 
3. did anyone catch that there was a girl named TREASURE on the show?  i sure as hell her last name isn't ISLAND or CHEST.  i kill myself.
4. i seem to like lauren the best right now.  she just seems normal.  time will tell.
5. anyone else want to slap megan upside the head?  she's all about being 'a single mom' but yet she left her 14 MONTH OLD at home to play love connection?  where in the hell is the baby daddy anyways?  inquiring minds want to know! 
6. can you EVEN believe that deanna comes back?  DUDE.

I have to admit this is my guilty pleasure!!! Yes I agree this is going to be a drama filled season yet again!!! I about peed my pants when the previews showed Deanna coming back, (or maybe because baby has found it very comfortable to use my bladder as her perminant pillow!!!) either way, what a shoker. David watched it with me and is taking it upon himself to do an ongoing tally for the season of how many times the word "connection" is used. He gets so mad, it makes it twice as entertaining to watch!!!

I turned it on right at the rose ceremony, and my husband and I ripped on it and rolled our eyes. Why is this horrible television programming so addicting? Did you watch True Beauty that came on afterwards?

I don't watch the Bachelor...but I have however, been sucked into the drama infested show called "Momma's Boys".....it's horrible...but I'm addicted.

I'll just have to "ditto" everything. I did not like Jason for leaving his son to be on The Bachelorette and I don't like any of the women who left their little ones to do this. Here's a thought... Raise your kid instead of add more turmoil and abandonment issues to their lives!

you are all too funny, i have to admit, i have never watched it and i did catch some of it this week, i too agree that the lady who quit her job has a few loose ends upstairs, the one who left her baby at home is a little unstable also,i did like the one he gave the rose too, his first glance or whatever she was called. yes for all you watchers it will be interesting to see who this handsome man goes home with in the end. i probably won't be watching too much more of it but will enjoy reading up dates on your blog,

i was SHOCKED when the previews showed Deanna coming back and probably will continue to watch because of it.... it made me laugh seeing all the girls crying about her being there... better there than after the show when they "win"... you know? that would suck worse...

also 14 month old baby lady is completely annoying and there are way too many red flags for him to keep her around much longer

Hey good timing on your post. I just got done watching it on abc.com! I am really shocked to see Deanna come back. I was just thinking tonight, "I wonder what happened with Deanna and Jesse?" And was going to google it later after the show. Now i know. And she comes back for a second chance?!??! And the preview where Jason goes to the glass wall crying his eyes out just got to me.. ugh.. I can see this is going to be a real dramatic season, and he is sooo sweet and caring, I really dont want to see him hurt along the way. But it looks like he is happy in the end when he is proposing. To a brunette too it looks like. Anyways, I dont know all the names just yet, but my top pics so far are Nikki (who got the impression rose), Melissa (Dallas cowgirl chickie) and possible Jillian. I have to learn more about Jillian first. But Stephanie needs to go. Sharon needs to go. And Megan does too. That poor 14 mos. im sure feels so lost without its mom for 6 weeks, or however many weeks this is. That just seems too young. Anyways, I'll stop rambling. I've watched many Bachelor seasons and was hoping Jason would come back for his own. Ill be right there with ya watching them too! :)
