month ten.

nevermind the fact that levi will be eleven months in 8 days.  whoops. 

i can't believe that in (less than) two months, he is going to be A YEAR OLD.  that is completely insane to be because really, didn't i just bring him home?

he is growing up so fast.  in the past month ...

he has mastered walking along the furniture.  he is able to 'gracefully' get down from his standing position.  he ditched baby food completely for some good eats.  still loves his sippy, but has his naptime bottles and bedtime bottle.  loves the 'fringies' on our fleece tie blankets (just like tucker ... i think i need to make a little bit of a smaller one for him to bring to bed with him).  we are trying to get him to say 'tucker' and he will get the 'tuh' out and his little mouth sometimes moves as if to say 'er' but nothing comes out.  :)  he will also say kaka when we talk about him having THAT in his pants.  ha!  he is obsessed with the vacuum cleaner (just like his brother was at this age).  he has a habit of trying to knock down baby gates or push away obstacles in order to get to where he does NOT belong.  he loves playing with his big brother and dad ... pretending he is a bigger boy than he really is.  he laughs at them throwing the ball over his head.  he screeches in excitement when it is bath time.  i look back on all the things tucker loved at this age and it's funny just how similar they are.

 

bear.  we've started calling him bear or griz because he acts like one!  he will growl like a bear.  when he crawls, there are times when he shakes his head around like a bear (tell me you know what i mean - ha).  oh, and he actually will pounce/jump like a bear too.  it's so funny.  so, we've got a little griz on our hands and it seems totally fitting.  levi owen baby peach GRIZZLY BEAR.  :)

levi had his first ear infection this month.  he was prescribed amoxicillian and seems to be doing just fine now.  yey! 

 

he still is sleeping awesome at night.  he'll go down typically between 8-9PM and sleep until around 7AM.  there is still a night here and there where he wakes up because he's wet through or something and i'll rock him right back to sleep.  most times you can just give him his binkie and he's out like a light again.  this is the biggest difference between tucker and levi so far.  tucker was a nightmare child when it came to sleeping habits.  so happy that levi likes to sleep! 

oh, and i try anything to get a good shot of him.  including letting him eat my lens cap.

 

i also think it's cute that levi notices when tucker is gone.  sometimes it is just in the backseat and he looks for him.  he waits for him.  he loves him so much.  makes your heart melt a bit.

 

i am so thankful for the past ten months.

proud of myself.

at the beginning of the year, i made a resolution that many people make: to lose weight.

it is april and i'm still keeping my end of the deal.  i have been steadily losing weight.  slowly but surely, it's been coming off.  it has not been easy, but it has been worth it.  i am sick of being chubby for SO MANY reasons.  reasons ranging from my health to being able to wear clothes that make me feel good. 

to date, i've lost 22.5 pounds since the start of the new year.  4.3 pounds on my own ... and 18.2 pounds with weight watchers.  if i do well this week, i will hit my first percentage goal next week.  i've already loss 10% total, but i want to reach that goal at weight watchers!  i am feeling confident that i'll be able to lose 30 pounds by the time i turn 30.  dude, what a feeling that is!  i'm still on the healthy train, which runs through july.  even if i don't win, i will be so glad to have participated.  the biggest blogging loser is over and i didn't win the big money ... but i 'met' a lot of people who have the same goals as i do.  their support has really helped me these past couple months. 

kickboxing starts tomorrow night.  also, mother nature decided to stop playing cruel jokes on us and decided to give us some spring like weather.  i'm totally pumped to get out walking in the evenings with my boys.

sharing this journey has been one of the best decisions i have ever made.  thank you so much for your support!  i will be the first to admit, i'm DAMN proud of what i have accomplished so far!

this post is going to be all over the place.  

we will start out with a picture.  i was bribing tucker with something to get a shot of him and his brother.  problem is, levi doesn't work for bribes yet.  FAIL.

 

i still love it.

okay, and in other news:

tucker did celebrate his birthday and i hope to share pictures with you all soon.  i was so happy that you guys came out of the woodwork on this dusty old blog to help a girl out (with planning details).  i used some of your suggestions and i was happy with the results!

yes, levi is ten months old (plus a few weeks).  i hope to get his monthly update here soon too.

i still am finishing up with some photography clients.  i have turned down a lot of people inquiring about this summer.  i got myself in a bit too deep this past fall and was not happy that i wasn't providing the type of service i wanted to.  plus, i got screwed over.  also, i have a family that needs and deserves more of my attention.  so, while i do have a few things lined up for late summer/fall, i'm taking the majority of it to be with my family and to really think about what i can handle when photography isn't my 'real' job.  i hate turning people down, but if i want to keep my sanity right now, it's my only option.  with that being said, i do want to revamp everything for when i do SLOWLY start to take on clients.  i've got the colors running around in my head, but i need a new logo, new blog, updated website, better packaging ... everything.  i get really giddy thinking about all that stuff.  oh boy.

i need to get my hair highlighted + cut ... soon.

i have to post an update on my weight loss.  i will post it tomorrow night after weigh in.  i'm hoping for a fabulous weigh in that could possibly get me to my next goal.  hopefully some of that easter candy i snuck this weekend doesn't bite me too bad!  whoops.

speaking of weight loss, i need to order new jeans.  any curvy girls out there have a favorite kind?  i have been wearing maurices jeans ... and i'm going to order a pair of silvers hoepfully this week.  share with me ladies!
