in two sleeps, my baby is going to be turning one. this month eleven update is late, obviously.
it seems forever since my last update. since most of this is for my memory, i guess it shouldn't matter when i actually post it, just that i do. :)
in the last 1.9 months ...
... levi has probably started eating more pound for pound than his brother. i'm not even joking. if we were to actually weigh and measure what each child eats ... levi would probably win. i can be feeding him dinner and he will see a banana or something that is not part of his dinner, and he will whine until he is fed that too. my grocery bills might actually be more than my gas bill. :)
... on may 10 he decided to get really brave and start taking multiple steps between different things in our living room. it was like he forgot he was afraid of trying and just went for it. he's been doing similar things since then ... but in the last couple days he's really ramped things up. he's walked a good 8 or so steps together a few times. sure, he looks intoxicated while he does it, but it's adorable! full blown walking is not far off. i'm afraid!
... has a cool little 'stance'. looks like a goalie pose.
... he still is growling like a grizzly bear. i NEED to get this on video.
... can't find a shoe that will fit him. i've bought a couple pairs and it was like stuffing one of the step-sister's feet into the glass slipper. i think nana jamie has actually found a pair that will work and they will be slipped on his little feet just in time for him to turn one. and hit the ground running.
... still has a bottle before bed. and maybe one here or there at other times too. i'm pretty sure i cut tucker off about five minutes after he turned a year old so why do i feel this time it is different. is it because he's my last baby? i think this is my mental thing more than him. i have less than a half jug of formula left so that will be the end of that. it will be a little sad to put away the baby bottles. even though i won't miss having to buy the damn formula!
... popped his eighth tooth on may 19. he officially has an entire mouthful more than tucker did at the same age. so funny how they can be so much alike, but so different.
... only says baba, mama, dada, kaka ... but i SWEAR he said cup. once. and that was it.
... makes the silliest faces. many of them are much like the ones his brother made at that age. imagine that.
almost one. can i just hit the pause button now? life can't be going by this fast.
This little guy melts my heart, he is a quiet yet strong little guy, yes he is much quieter than his older brother, but one of these days we will be in for a big surprise. I love this little guy till no end, it pulls at my heartstings too that he is your last little gomper.....I can only wait till your brother and his wife (parents of my little Gordy gomper) choose to have another babe! You have 2 precious little souls and you have did a great job in raising them thus far, i have not doubt you will continue to raise these precious children into responsible adults. Thank's Jenny and Matt for giving me these 2 loveable little guys, they make my everyday, a brighter day, just because they are in it. And a "Happy 1st Birthday" to my loveable little, snuggable little, kissable little Levi Owen, I do love you soo! xxxooo
