mother's day.

i am so far behind on blogging.  like, i still want to blog about levi's first camping trip last summer ... and here we are, nearly a year later.  whoops.  fail.

anyways, i'll start with mother's day.  in many ways, it was a lot like any other day.  except for one very special thing.  tucker had made me something in preschool and had brought it home on wednesday.  however, he made me wait until sunday (mother's day) to open it.  he loves to follow the rules.

when i finally got to open my present, this is what i found:

my mom's name is jenny.  she is gonna be 30 years old and she has brown but dark hair and blue eyes.  her favorite color is green.  her favorite food is hard boiled eggs.  what she likes to do best is take care of all the stuff in my house.  i think my mom knows how to take care of levi better than anyone in the whole world.  she makes me laugh when she tickles me.  whenever we're together i like it when we go outside and do chalk together.  my mom is very smart.  she knows all about cooking.  the nicest thing my mom ever did for me was give me hugs and loves.  i wish i could do something nice for my mom like help her with doing laundry.  i love you, mom.  tucker

this basically MADE MY YEAR.  i love how we share the same favorite color (wink).  also, i think i must have been eating hard boiled eggs with lunch the day he wrote this.  :)  i also love when we go outside and do chalk together.  i love when my sidewalks are all pretty!  matt and i both laughed that he thinks i know all about cooking, since matt does most of the cooking in our house.  no lie.  also, the kid does not miss the chance to give hugs and loves.  every morning, every time i drop him off at preschool, every night ... and a few times in between.  he gets upset if i forget too.  that basically melts my heart.  while i'd love for him to help me with the laundry, i'll think this card was the nicest thing he's ever done (with a little help from teacher donna and teacher jenn)!

i am so thankful for these two little dudes that call me mom.  there is really nothing better in the whole world.  i love them both a million times over.  and then over again.  :)
