my mom celebrates her birthday this week. one thing she has really wanted to do (especially since moving into their new house) is get all of her family together. this would include my family, my brother's family and two step-siblings we have ... and their families. doesn't seem like too much to ask right?
well, if you can believe it, i'm not sure the last time we were ALL together. it seems as though someone is always missing ... even during the holidays. so the fact that a week ago my mom invited us all over for a bbq AND we were all available was pretty amazing.
there was no way i was going to let this be undocumented. so, an official family shot was taken. aside from my husband pulling a 'wilson' in the back row, it looks pretty good.
i know this day meant the world to my mom, but it meant a lot to me too. lately, it seems like there are so many reminders as to how precious life is and that we really do have to spend the time we have with those who mean the most to us.
it was a perfect afternoon. :)

and you make me cry reading this....This day was my Birthday Present... I told Jim for my Birthday I wanted no more than to have my family together, but when I invited you all I didn't tell you it was for my Birthday..I turn 51 on this Tuesday...when I turned 50 I didn't get a big surprise Birthday or a real party at all, so this year I just wanted my family together (not letting you know it was my Birthday Wish) It worked, all my kids,and my grandbabies were together today, it made me so incredibly Happy....It made our house a Home...and it made me turning 51 just another year of thinking once again.....Life is Good....i look forward to my next birthday.........Thanks Jenny,Matt(Wilson) Tucker and little Levi(and all my other kids and grandkids) for giving me "Today" I love you all so very much...my life is a pretty Happy Life, and a Big part of that is because I have all of you! :)
