tucker tidbits.

some random tidbits i just don't want to forget.

• tonight he was walking around with a flashlight asking us to open our mouths so he could shine it in our mouth.  he said he was a dentist.  too funny. 

• while getting dinner ready, i heard tucker walk in and tell matt, 'i'm a genius'.  where does he get this stuff?

• i love laying in his bed after story time at night and talking to him.  last night he told me he wanted to go to school with nats (my little sister).  i told him it wouldn't be long and he would be.  a few minutes later he added, 'i want the school bus to pick me up'. 

• he loves playing his guitar that grandma cheryl gave him.  he walks around the house holding it singing away.  i seriously need to get a video of this.  he'll kill me when he's 15.

• he loves mickey mouse clubhouse, little einsteins, and higglytown heros.

• i love when he hugs me so tight his little body shakes. 

• he does this funny little thing where he will put his hand up to your mouth for you to kiss.  once you kiss his hand, he will kiss his own hand and then blow our kisses away.  no idea where he learned that either, but it's cute.

• finally, the potty training update.  after dinner, i told tucker he could put some stickers on his hands if he went and tried to go potty.  well, i guess putting stickers on your hands must be super cool, because he darted off into the bathroom.  there, he sat down and we put stickers on his hands for trying.  well, he didn't want to get up after we sat there for a bit, so i let him sit there while i cleaned up the bathroom a bit.  all of a sudden he yelled, 'what's in there?  i peed!' - yahoo!  so we dumped it, flushed it, got rewards, called grandma keri and auntie natalie (who came over with gummies for a reward), and just had one big celebration.  after they left, we set the timer for 10 minutes so he could go and practice again.  well, when the time went off, he wasn't having it, but i picked him up and brought him in there.  he didn't fight it once we were there and sat down again.  it wasn't two minutes later and he had went again!  THAT'S MY BOY!  this time we had to call grandma cheryl and nana jamie to share the news!  we are off in the right direction.  i loaded up with gummies crackers stickers spare change incentives today and hopefully we can keep a good thing going.

i like the comment from auntie tina about uncle dustin watching tucker soon! i also heard it right from dustin that if he was potty trained he'd watch him on i believe he said "friday's", they would have a great time together!!
oh yes, he is a little genius, gramma weezie said so!!

Great job! Good luck with that! Annika caught the genius thing from my mom. She calls her a genius and so she says it from time to time! The things they catch on to!
