is it just weird how you WAKE UP at a random time in the night and check your kid because ... hey, he might have a fever? yeah, well, that's what happens to me. i woke up at 1130 last night and checked tucker for some reason and yeah, burning up. 101.8*. yey. administer the tylenol, take off the pj's, set the fan on low, back to sleep.
up again this morning and you guessed it, fever was back. 100.4*. administer the tylenol, get some ice water, and an ice pack. he requested it to be put on his leg. he said his body hurt and i'm sure that with the combo of being hot, it felt good. lounged around with him in the morning and then he got his spunk back for a while.
however, it was back again after lunch. repeat process.
then nap time. woke up and he's burning up again. repeat process.
he's only had a fever and complained of some body aches. he is supposed to get his seasonal flu shot on monday. he had a cold before this, then i was sick, then when i can finally get him in, boom, sick again. i hate this cycle we have going. ususally for tucker it's fever and earache, but so far no complaints about his ears (knock HARD on wood). i have a prescription for tamiflu that i told myself i would give him if he got sick with the fever and such, but it's at the pharmacy on file and they are CLOSED on the weekend (the only time my kid gets sick). oh well. he's eating and drinking and once the tylenol kicks in he is his old self for a few hours. i hope the fever is gone soon. he also had to miss out on visiting his cousins who were up this weekend because i'm not sure what he's got and don't want to get anyone else sick.
i hate seeing my little dude sick! :(
Don't you just hate when things like pharmacies are closed on the weekends? Like people just don't need medicine on Saturdays or Sundays? Hope the little guy feels better!!

I hate seeing kids sick too. You just want to take it all away for them. :( I hope Tucker gets better soon.
